Dani Martín and Christian Alfayate created the Cultural Association “Jude Rock and Talk” in 2019 to give shape to their original Rock and Talk! formula, a concept that combines live music with the dissemination of the English language through a talk about music with touches of humour and a final competition. In 2019 they presented An Evening with The Beatles, a show in English based on the Liverpool band, performed in "Escuelas Oficiales de Idiomas" and theatres. In 2020 they created an online version of this show, The Missing Beatle, for students of English and Misión Sur, in Spanish, with their own themes for students of Spanish. 

 

At the same time, Jude Rock and Talk start writing their own songs, which are reflected in their first EP, Sur (2020), available on Spotify and other digital platforms, incorporating guitarist José Enrique Laiz. During this time, they played concerts in music venues in León such as Black Bourbon, Molly Malones’ or Babylon and in the province, such as La Moncloa de San Lázaro.

Jude Rock and Talk provide a pop-rock sound with good lyrics and catchy songs that are anything but overly commercial or banal. Their concerts combine acoustic versions of English rock songs from the late 60s and early 70s with their own songs. Their music is not lacking in nods to their city of origin: León. The song Pongamos que hablo de León reached over 23,000 views on YouTube ten days after its release. Bares de León is a rock song that takes us back to the bars and music venues of León in the dismal times of the Great Pandemic.
